Jack Magnetics was the company I founded after leaving SSD in 2015. SSD was one of the well-known manufacturers of sintered Alnico magnets. Later, I shifted my career into the hydraulic fittings and power cord industries, so I eventually closed Jack Magnetics. As a result, it is no longer an active company.
I have been working in the magnetic materials industry since 2007. Over nearly 20 years, I have gained extensive experience in almost every aspect of the business. I have worked in magnet sales, helped establish manufacturing facilities, participated in factory management, and even been involved in the sale of a magnet factory. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of permanent magnets, their manufacturing processes, applications, and the challenges customers face.
One of my primary email addresses still uses the jackmagnetics.com domain. When I discovered that the domain was still available for registration, I decided to purchase it again. After keeping it for a couple of years, I began thinking about how to make good use of it.
I realized that Jack Magnetics could become more than just a domain name. It can be a place where I share the knowledge and experience I have accumulated throughout my career. Writing technical articles will help me organize my thoughts, preserve what I have learned, and continue learning as the industry evolves.
At the same time, I can also recommend and sell high-quality magnets produced by trusted friends and former colleagues in the industry. Rather than building another manufacturing business, my goal is to create a valuable resource for engineers, buyers, and magnet enthusiasts while connecting them with reliable products and experienced suppliers.
